Gordon graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2014. He was admitted to the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London as a Barrister-at-Law in November 2015 and was admitted to practice as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in November 2016.

He has been with the firm since his pupillage and joined SKRINE’s Corporate Division after his admission to the Malaysian Bar.

  • Advised Sime Darby Berhad, Sime Darby Plantation and Sime Darby Property on the adoption of a new constitution pursuant to the Companies Act 2016.
  • Assisted Ekuiti Nasional Berhad on its RM255 million acquisition of Davex Malaysia.
  • Assisted in the acquisition of the Kajang-SILK highway by Permodalan Nasional Berhad.
  • Advised on PETRONAS licencing applications and applications for new SWECs.
  • Advised China General Nuclear Corporation on the restructuring exercise of its power assets in Malaysia.
  • Prepared a country entry report for China Machinery Engineering Corporation.
  • Advised a PSC Contractor on its legal remedies in respect of a dispute with PETRONAS on cost recovery.
  • Advised a South Korean company and conducted due diligence in relation to a proposed acquisition of a Malaysian oil and gas company.
  • Assisted in the due diligence relating to a potential acquisition of a group of companies involved in electronics manufacturing in the South-East Asia region.
  • Assisted bidder on its bid to acquire Shell’s 15% interest in Malaysia LNG Tiga.
  • Advised both foreign and local individuals and companies on issues relating to applicable laws and regulations relevant to various industries including regulatory authorities’ guidelines, policies and requirements in Malaysia.
  • Assisted in the drafting and reviewing of agreements in relation to corporate transaction matters
